Hey everyone,

We're pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the zero-touch customer portal, designed to provide greater transparency over your data. Comprehensive audit logs, offering a detailed and accessible record of all actions affecting your customer data will soon be available in the customer portal.

Key Improvements:

  • Comprehensive Logging:
    • Captures actions taken from all possible sources eg: zero-touch  customer and reseller portal, customer and reseller API.
    • Tracks all data related to a zero-touch customer, including:
      • Users
      • Devices
      • Resellers
      • Configurations
      • Terms of Service
      • CSV Files
      • Zero-touch customer accounts
  • Easy Access and Analysis:
    • Access audit logs through a user-friendly interface within the portal.
    • Download logs in CSV format for further analysis and reporting.

 Benefits:

  • Accessibility and Analysis: Ensures easy access and analysis of logs.
  • Enhanced Security: Provides a detailed record of all activities impacting customer data, enabling better monitoring.
  • Streamlined Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve data-related issues with detailed activity logs.
  • Increased Transparency: Offers greater visibility into how your customer data is being accessed and managed.

Important Note:

The audit logs are only available via the zero-touch customer portal. There is no change to the zero-touch reseller portal, Reseller API, and Customer API.

Migration Timeline:

This feature will be enabled during the next few weeks.

Only logs after March 2025 are available in the zero-touch customer portal. If you require older audit logs, please contact your reseller who can raise a support ticket.

We hope you find this enhancement useful. To learn more, please refer to this Help Center guide.

It would be fantastic to hear your feedback or any questions below.

Thanks so much.

    That's a nice addition. It's not uploading-your-own-devices nice, but baby steps 😁

Hehe, yeah but maybe it raises the hope a bit for other improvements raised for ZTP.

Thanks jasonbayton Michel Moombas Rakib I'm really glad to hear you pleased to see this. Is this enhancement something you will regularly use? It would be great to learn a little more on how you will use this - if you are happy to share. To add, there is more to come... 😀

I know Jason, you are rooting for the ability to add devices - this actually sounds like a good community topic, it would be great to hear some ideas on how you and other community members would like to see this implemented (if this is a need) - fancy starting one?

We also have an active community thread, where many members have already provided feature/enhancement ideas. Please do continue to add to this and/or comment on existing ones that you would like to see. Your feedback is all really helpful and great to see.

Thanks again and looking forward to continuing to discuss ZT ideas.

I've encountered it several times where devices/configs have been changed and there's no proof of who did what, so this is a nice peace of mind feature.

      We love a log 🫶

I can spin up a thread, happy to regurgitate the points again 😁

        What a t-shirt this would make 'We love a log 🫶' 😆

        Sounds fab - thanks jasonbayton

Very nice! Thank you Lizzie an Team. The change type "Device updated" shows the "Configuration ID". I would prefer "Configuration Name" there for better readability. And, if it's possible, I'd like to see the Configuration Name the device had before.

Hi jeoffreyburri, thanks for your feedback! I'm one of the engineers who worked on this feature.

Whilst we don't display the configuration name for now, you can try downloading the CSV file to see a "before" and "after" state.

You can even chuck the CSV file into Gemini for some data analytics magic 😉

A wild engineer has appeared 😁
Logs look great, I particularly appreciate the JSON output as well. Didn't expect it!

    My wish list:

    1. Upload own devices, just like with Samsung Knox Enrollment.
    2. Some form of Role-based access control (RBAC).

Both was already discussed in the past afaik. Where i don't agree to 1. unless there's some kind of proof of ownage but also loooking forward to 2. ideally combined with some kind of AD (EntraID,...) integration for better security and better user handling.
