Re: Is there any way to disable Google Play Protect (GPP) from an EMM or to otherwise whitelist apps from scanning?
I can confirm that apps already flagged previously are unaffected and still receive warnings. Just in case someone was curious. Look forward to new verisons not having these issues for sure. Thanks all!3.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Is there any way to disable Google Play Protect (GPP) from an EMM or to otherwise whitelist apps from scanning?
Every day Google Play Protect decides it doesn't like 3 or 4 more enterprise apps. This is out of control. These are Corp owned devices! Stop messing with things you knonw NOTHING about9.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Is there any way to disable Google Play Protect (GPP) from an EMM or to otherwise whitelist apps from scanning?
This is happening to most of our enterprise apps, and Google is not at all helpful in discovering why. Regardless, enterprise apps should not be subject to Google's paranoia. All it is doing is causing enterprises like my own to have to turn the feature off, because of the numerous false positives.9.9KViews2likes2CommentsRe: [Community tips] What to consider when choosing an enterprise mobility management solution?
COMPLETELY AGREE +100... fully managed is nowhere near fully managed. We can control maybe 1% of device settings. On a fully managed device this should be 100% of settings. Android is becoming more useless for enterprise with every new update.8.2KViews1like0CommentsRe: Is there any way to disable Google Play Protect (GPP) from an EMM or to otherwise whitelist apps from scanning?
I whole-heartedly agree with all these comments as it applies to Company owned fully managed devices. We have had to turn off Play protect for years due to Google illegitimately blocking business applications and/or displaying warnings at install time. There is also no reason to force allowing users to remove permissions from enterprise apps like "Draw on top" and "Usage access" on Corporate owned, fully managed devices.22KViews1like0Comments
