Enforce DNS Resolver (Private DNS) Using EMM/MDM
Is it possible to set/enforce the DNS resolver using an EMM/MDM? π€ I am thinking about using a custom DNS resolver like NextDNS, opentext/webroot DNS Protection or DNSFilter on smartphones and tablets that move between different WiFi and mobile networks to block certain contents. Thanks for your input.930Views0likes1CommentRe: Distributing Paid Apps
Those apps are free to download though. Upgrading is possible on their website or via in-app-purchase. For ZoiPer, the app is paid once and there is no user account in the backend. So the baseline is a bit different. That's why it would be great if Lizzie or someone from the team could clarify.9.9KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Distributing Paid Apps
I have this document on my mind. Play-distributed apps requiring or accepting payment for access to in-app features or services, including any app functionality, digital content or goods (collectively βin-app purchasesβ), must use Google Playβs billing system [...]11KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Is my company monitoring traffic in my personal profile through mdm on my work profile?
If I understood you correctly, you have a private owned smartphone where you added a work container (BYOD) using the Android Device Policy app. In that case, the private network traffic is not monitored and it is possible to use another VPN (e.g. Proton VPN for your private profile and Company VPN for your work profile).4.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Distributing Paid Apps
Distributing paid apps was available in Germany too. I recommended setting license information using a managed configuration (see https://developer.android.com/work/managed-configurations) to ZoiPer. The field would be invisible in the app for the end user. Example: Do you know if that would be compliant with the Google Play Store rules? ZoiPer is afraid of getting banned if they include this option.11KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Using Google One Android Device Backup On COBO Smartphone
The personal Google account (name@company.de) is used. The managed Google account (work-xxxxxxxxxx@android-for-work.gserviceaccount.com) is not selectable in the Google One app Clicking on Aktivieren (Activate) just reloads the same screen and nothing happens. Are you using a backup for managed devices and if yes, which one? I might consider it as an alternative. Most stuff is already backup up server-side but I would appreciate something for SMS/MMS and device/app data. Thank you very much for your help.2.6KViews0likes1CommentUsing Google One Android Device Backup On COBO Smartphone
Hey everyone, is it possible to use COBO (Corporate Owned, Business Only) and Google One? I have a device with a private account enabled (mainly for paid apps) and when I try to enable Google One backup it just reloads and it does not go on. π€ Thanks for your time.2.6KViews0likes4CommentsDistributing Paid Apps
Hey everyone, Google removed the option to distribute paid apps some time ago. We loved that feature to roll out paid apps like ZoiPer Pro and many more. Are there any plans to get this awesome feature back? I already asked about it at the Android Enterprise Global Partner Summit 2022: Do you have any updates for us?Solved12KViews2likes24CommentsEnterprises Using COPE
A client is not sure if they want to use COPE or COBO so the director would like to know which bigger companies use COPE and orient towards them. Most of the companies shown on https://www.android.com/enterprise/customers/ seem to use COBO but it is not stated directly. Is there an overview of companies using COPE? Thanks!Solved2.6KViews0likes3Comments
