Udpate Receiver not working when app is installed in both Profiles

Hi folks,

 

I have deployed my app from Google Workspace (on Work Profile), and I have also installed the same app in my Personal Profile. Now that my app has an updated version on Playstore, my App Update Receiver is not working correctly in personal profile.

 

Is it because both profiles have the same app (package name) or something? because OS is supposed to handle this, any kind of help is appreciated.

 

Note: I am testing on Pixel 3a.

    Hi jasonbayton,

     

    I got the answer in the other post, that the update in personal profile also updated the app in work profile, knowing that everything makes sense and behavior is as expected. Thanks!
