We are playing around with the idea of using different keyboards in our environment and possibly even pixels. We mainly use Samsung devices so Knox provides lockdown for the samsung keyboard and they also support for getting information there as well.
We are able to block some traffic using existing proxy config such as blocing translate but having problems figuring out where exactly is Gboard pulling its information for language packs/ language dictionary. Does anyone have any good information?

Hello @PaulRR,
Great to meet you. I've had a look into this for you, as a starting point hopefully this might help:
The Gboard is pulling the language packs on the system locale. If you are interested in other keyboard items such as emoji, gif, images, and translate, etc. you can find out more in the below links:
- https://developer.android.com/training/basics/supporting-devices/languages
- https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/receive-rich-content?hl=en
- https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/text-and-emoji/emoji2?hl=en
Does this help?
Thank you,
Lizzie
