Re: Enhanced Factory Reset Protection in Android 15
Bigdogburr Great information. One thing which we are currently struggling with FRP enforcement from EMM is that the google account is treated as a normal user account, even when it is pushed through EMM policy. Due to this, devices are prompted for additional account security validation from google, similar to the validations you get when signing-in to a new device with your google account. Is there any planned modifications for this behavior?1KViews0likes0CommentsFind my device - Enterprise account configuration
Background: We are looking for options to configure a standard google account for 'find my device' option on Corporate Android devices from EMM. This way we can sign-in to one account, see all associated devices & send track/remote lock commands to the device from a single place. Question: 1) Does Google provide EMMs with options to let admins configure enterprise google account for 'Find my device' on Corporate Android devices? 2) If yes to (1) , can Admins use the same google account configured for Android Enterprise binding to also configure 'Find my device'?Solved411Views0likes2CommentsGoogle Over-the-Air (GOTA) - How does it work?
Hi, Apologies for putting this as a generic query. I'm trying to find some answers to below questions regarding the working of GOTA solution. 1) Is GOTA a SaaS solution provided by google where authorized device resellers can create accounts and add customer devices for managing OTA updates? 2) Do each reseller (Eg- HMD, Samsung etc.) maintain separate tenant in GOTA or it is just a separate account within one tenant? 3) If an organization is already using GOTA services through one reseller (Eg- Samsung), what is the process for setting up GOTA services with a different reseller (HMD)? Once signed-up will the customer devices be maintained in two separate tenants/accounts within GOTA? 4) Is there a default behavior for OTA update release on GOTA devices? Will they be blocked from receiving any updates until customer approval or will they receive all updates by default until customer asks the reseller to block a particular update?Solved3.7KViews1like4CommentsRe: [Product Update] Introducing the Improved Signup Experience for Android Enterprise
Hey Lizzie, Good to read the detailed blog article. Is there any technical documentation or demo video on the below? "Finally, the improved signup experience will allow you to bind multiple enterprise mobility management (EMM) instances to your organization’s account, making it easier to use testing and production environments in parallel or transition to a new EMM vendor."2.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: [Product Update] Introducing the Improved Signup Experience for Android Enterprise
Lizzie Hope you are doing good. I have a couple of questions: 1) Simplified IT Admin Experience: Does this include Google Zero Touch portal and Managed Google play/Android Enterprise binding accounts also? 2) Enhanced flexibility and control: Does this mean I can use the same account for binding multiple EMMs like SOTI/Intune or are we talking about multiple instances of same EMM here? If we have private apps deployed using the same account, how does it gets distributed across EMMs using the account?3KViews1like0CommentsZero Touch MDM enrolment not happening on Samsung OS 13 devices
Since today, Our Samsung Galaxy A33 devices in UK are not enrolling to Intune automatically as part of Zero-Touch enrolment. Devices are proceeding with normal setup after connecting to Wi-Fi instead of proceeding with MDM setup. We have confirmed device is added to portal and has MDM configuration assigned. We are enrolling device to Intune as COPE enrolment. We have tried the below but still face the issue 1) Unassign/re-assign MDM configuration 2) Factory reset and start the setup 3) Try different device/Different Wi-Fi network1.9KViews0likes3Comments
