New devices only receive "Enterprise Default Profile" instead of default profile
Hey there,
this is my first post here as I could not find a ticket system for Zero Touch.
Since a couple of weeks all new devices only getting the "Enterprise Default Profile" automatically assigned which I deleted during zero touch tenant setup in "Configurations".
The default profile I created does not get automatically applied anymore.
Unfortunately I can change the default assignment profile to whatever I want but newly added devices still are getting the "Enterprise Default Profile".
Changing the device profile after the initial upload (including wrong DPC info) to the created target profile works in bulk. Once changed manually the devices apply the correct DPC.
Multiple zero touch instances are affected.
How to fix the default assignment profile for newly added devices? Any suggestions?

kvkowas this solved? I am reading this and it looks familiar to a similar case. Can you confirm if you have Microsoft Intune as your MDM solution?
It looks you have done step 3"A default configuration is created. A screen appears with basic information about the configuration. Intune will automatically apply the default configuration to any zero-touch enabled device that's without an existing configuration."
What that basically makes is that Intune default configuration from iframe will apply even though on your customer portal you have a default one. In order to deactivate this you will need to go here inside Intune:
Devices > Android Devices > Enrollment > Zero-touch enrollment
If you click there you will see an option to Unlink.
That should solve your issue, and the configuration apply will be the one set as default on your customer portal if a device is added. - JacSLevel 1.5: Cupcake4 months ago

Hi there,
It sounds like a configuration issue with the Zero Touch tenant setup. Since the "Enterprise Default Profile" keeps being assigned, even after deletion, you might want to double-check your default profile settings and ensure they're correctly synced.
If multiple instances are affected, this could also be a platform-side bug. I'd recommend reaching out to Google support directly or raising the issue through your enterprise account manager.
Hope this helps!

Hello,
Sorry for hijacking your thread but we are experiencing the same issue. Our new devices are receiving the "Enterprise Default Profile," (which no longer exists,) despite having set the Default Configuration to the one that really exist.
As you can see do we only have one configuration profile that is set as default configuration but it still sets the "Enterprise Default Profile" to the new devices that is added.
Have tried to rename the profile create another and set that as default and back again but still new devices show up with the incorrect profile.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Hello kvko,
I'm sorry for the delay in getting a response to you. Have you managed to fix this yet?
If not, can you confirm on the ZTE Customer Portal [On each Accounts on the left Panel] that the Default Configuration is not set to "None"?

And, that the intended Default Configuration is set to the correct one? Screenshot: https://screenshot.googleplex.com/48oVGrm83D8UUHo
This is how you should be able to update the default configuration in the customer ZTE.
Have you tried this already? And if so, can you provide a little more information of what is happening please?
Thanks so much,
Lizzie
