Renaming Managed Google Play Organization
Hello SvenMB,
Nice to meet you. I'm not sure why this changed, it is something I have asked internally to see if it is on our side. Either way, I wondered have you opened a ticket directly with Intune about this, as they have the functionality to be able to update this.
Hope to speak with you soon.
Thanks,
Lizzie
Hi Lizzie,
Yes, I´ve opened a ticket with MS immediately on October 25th. The first reaction of a support agent was a few hours later and afterwards..... silence up to now. I inquired on the 31st, no reaction. It´s Ticket # 2410251420001004

I have mail from Microsoft Support now.
I hope this message finds you well.
We have noticed an unexpected change in the lock screen message on your Android Enterprise devices managed through Intune. The message has changed to "Dieses Gerät gehört xxx GmbH," whereas it should be "Dieses Gerät gehört deiner Organisation." We understand the importance of accurately reflecting the correct owner information and are working to resolve this issue promptly.
To update the lock screen message and ensure it displays the correct information, please follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center with your administrator account.
- Navigate to Devices > Configuration Profiles > Create Profile.
- Select the platform as Android Enterprise and choose the appropriate profile type (e.g., Device Features).
- Create the profile and give it a descriptive name and description.
- Configure the lock screen message settings to display the correct owner information. Look for settings related to the lock screen message or asset tag information.
- Assign the profile to the relevant group of devices.
- Save and apply the changes.
This should update the lock screen message to show "Dieses Gerät gehört deiner Organisation" instead of "Dieses Gerät gehört xxx GmbH."
Please let us know if you encounter any issues or need further assistance. We are here to help you ensure that your devices reflect the correct ownership information.
Best regards,
We already tried that way on 25th October and ended up with two lockscreen messages. One with the correct wording and below it the wrong one.
I gave it a second chance now, please see the rusult in the attached picture.
One thing was different now. Last week I didn´t have the option to select a locale for the lock screen message. Today I have it, but it makes no difference. After configuring it I have two lock screen messages, what is definitely not the desired result.
