Hello,

With all communities and products the period just after it's goes live is a great time to catch any initial feedback including suggestions, bugs, not exactly smart UI...

I've created this dedicated post to make it easier for you to reply and share anything you spot. If you want to have more of a focused conversation perhaps on a suggestion, feel free to start a new conversation in this area too.

Hi,

I would like to see option to change the email address for the Customer Community account.

I mean people might want to create a account with company e-mail (since this is enterprise community) and then leave/change the company. Email address is gone and you need to establish a new account in Customer Community. Not very handy...  you will lose access to all your previous postings etc..


What I’m saying your account should remain even you change email tied to it.

Thanks for highlighting this, yes this isn't something that is currently possible, although I totally understand your reasoning here. I'm currently looking into the options for this, as everything is linked via SSO. Leave it with me and I'll get back to you. 😀

As of today there's disparity between the WYSIWYG editor and the posted reply relating to line breaks. If I hit enter in the editor it creates a new line directly below, but in the resulting post it's a new paragraph. I've had to edit a couple posts to fix that formatting.

Previously it reflected the new paragraph in the editor with a consistent space, and I knew if I wanted to just do a line break I could shift+enter to do so, which is normal in other editors too. Now it's inconsistent

aw, I was just about to post on here about this @jasonbayton, so great timing. This is a confirmed bug and we are just testing a fix for it. So I'm hoping we should have this live over the next couple of days.

Hey @jasonbayton @Moombas, just to update you we were able to push a fix for the text formatting this morning. I hope this feel a bit better for you, if you can please let me know how you find it.

Session changes haven't made any positive impact for me. Every time I visit the site I'm logged out. It reauths quick at least but it's always an extra two clicks to engage.

Also, it hides older replies behind a "load older replies" which seems unnecessary. It makes scrolling back through older replies clunky

@Lizzie : Feedback regarding login/session time: I think it's ok now (still not the best, i would prefer it to be ~8h so it fits the entire working day).

Something different: I would like to be able to edit own posts longer than just some time. Wouldn't it be possible to enable this as long as no one has posted a comment afterwards (or started answering)?

Even i tried it with "width" before as well now it seem to work.

@Moombas @jasonbayton sorry just a follow up on the session time, as I want to make sure I'm capturing your experiences correctly. Would you mind providing a bit more information please?

I presume you are referring to the time before the page times out if no activity is shown, therefore you would need to refresh the page before being able to post or interact with posts? When you refresh you are logged in and can carry on or are you experiencing something different?

It fully logs me out, so a page refresh doesn't work alone. I have to log in with my Google account again

Oh no I can assure you I am, I'm never logged out of my Google account on mobile nor desktop. It's only this platform that requires frequent re-auth!

@Lizzie I can verify the same as @jasonbayton and also using latest Chrome version.

Regarding your other questions:
2. : Yes, tried to add a badge (in the signature for example or seperate) also using html to make the image smaler but that kind of HTML code was "not allowed" and just removed.
3. Yes, just having the headlines and instead having way more topics shown. From my personal opinion it's a better overview. Could also be an option to switch between such views if others prefer the current ones.

Hey @Moombas@jasonbayton,

I'm hope you are both having a good day. 

Just a quick update on this, so you should be auto-signed into the community if you are logged in on the same browser within a period of time, as this isn't happening, would you mind having a check in your Chrome browser settings to see if you may have a block on this at all? 

Also, your community session should only come to an end after a period of inactive behaviour ie. 30 mins. Can I check are you noticing this earlier than that?

But for me it very looks like the site has a problem maybe with the website login cookie or so which means every time after X minutes the website forces to choose the account i want to use for login (again).

Nothing's blocking that necessarily but because I have a few accounts signed in it'll stop and prompt which account to relogin with, while things like Gmail will remain logged in as long as the chrome session does in the account I want, which is like 30 days. 

That period of inactivity should be configurable. I'd set it to keep me logged in because it's unnecessary to keep logging me out

Firstly, it's great to have you here, I'm glad you have made it over to the new community.

2. Thanks for your thoughts on connecting this with the AE Certification. Just to check are you referring to having a way to display the badges/certifications on your community account here? 

3. Thanks for your feedback on the view, I think we have presently limited it to preview 2 lines of the post, would you remove the preview then and just have the title? 

If so, it would be great to get others feedback on this. What do others think?

4. Thanks for highlighting the missing dropdown, the selection of EMM/MDMs this should be the same as in the Help Community so this might not be showing correctly, I'll look into this. Thanks for flagging. 

5. Session time - I'll flag this back to the platform team and see if we can extend this if it is shorter than expected.

Lastly, I also saw your comment about the Product Experts program and how that will work, I am just confirming the logistic on this, but will be sharing an update soon on this, I'll be sure to include you.
