Managed Google Play private app not available on Corporate-owned devices with work profile
Hi community, I'm encountering a strange issue and could use some guidance. A Google developer account released an app to Managed Google Play (so it's automatically private and not available on the public store) and entered our organization ID in the appropriate field. We can find the app on the iframe in our MDM (Microsoft Intune in this case), select it, and assign it to groups. Everything looks good: BYOD deployments (Personally-owned devices with work profiles) can install the app from the Managed Google Play store. However, COPE devices (Corporate-owned devices with work profiles) cannot search for it, and it's also not visible in the app collections we've created. Could there be a setting in the Google developer account's store listing that prevents availability for COPE devices? I've exhausted all options in Intune, including multiple store syncs, with no success. Intune is telling me, that the App is available to install on the specific COPE devices, but it does simply no appear. The only thing left to check is the Google developer account that released the app for us. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Learn more about the changes to the new zero-touch customer portal The new zero-touch customer portal has been designed to make it easier for you to manage your account. Here are some of the key changes: New look and feel: The portal has been redesigned with a modern look and feel, making it easier to navigate and find the information you need. Improved navigation: The navigation menu has been simplified and reorganized, making it easier to find the pages you're looking for. Updated Terms of service: Updated the zero-touch customer terms of service and customers will be prompted to accept the terms of service upon next login to the zero-touch customer portal. The terms of service need to be accepted once by an admin or owner of the customer account. If you own multiple accounts, you might need to accept the terms of service for each one. Note: when attempting to access the zero-touch customer API. Any existing solutions leveraging the zero-touch customer APIs to access an account that has not yet accepted the new terms of service will receive a TosError response. Users will need to accept the terms of service by signing in to the zero-touch enrolment portal. New features/changes: The portal now includes a number of new features, such as: Improved search: search for specific device(s) by the fields below, without specifying which identifier(ie. IMEI, MEID, serial number). Additional fields on device CSV download: You can download a CSV of existing devices assigned to your organization, which contain all data seen on the device management page with additional field(ie. Reseller name and reseller ID). Additionally, unified the formats so the customer can download a CSV, make changes to the profiles, and upload it. Undelete account: You can no longer undelete the account once deleted, alternatively you can reach out to your reseller who can then reach out to us to recover your account with valid reason. To access the new customer portal, simply go to link. You will need to log in with your existing username and password To help you navigate the changes, please refer to the customer portal guide. I created an enrollment token for an enterprise for work profile, and I ensured that setAllowPersonalUsage("PERSONAL_USAGE_ALLOWED"); was set for the token. How ever when I try to join from my android 11(tecno) and android 14(google pixel 7) device with work profile via the ADP app, I get : Can't add work Profile A work profile can't be added to this Pixel. If you have questions, contact your IT admin. However from my emulator device running Android 15, I could join the enterprise using work profile.Elijah10 hours agoLevel 1.6: Donut46Views0likes4CommentsRenaming Managed Google Play Organization
Hello, we built our Managed Google Play connector in Intune like three years ago with our company name as organization name. Meanwhile our company name as slightly changed and since the company name is shown on all corporate-owned android devices lock screen, we have a high interest in changing that to the correct name. Unfortunately I can not find any way to change that company name. I can only delete that organization. I do not find a way to contact Google directly for that issue, so that is why I ended up here. So here are the questions: What exactly happens to our devices, if we disconnect and delete the organization and reconnect to a new organization with correct name? All devices will reset? All apps will be gone? Are there other ways to configure what is shown on the lockscreen? Maybe it is possible to disable the display of the company name on the lockscreen completely? Or is there a way to contact Google to change that name for us? Any help appreciated. 😎 RegardsRE-RITS-TS2 days agoLevel 1.6: Donut11KViews2likes33CommentsThe customer reported to us a problem with contact SMS which is not displayed on the personal side (only the numbers are displayed but not the names of the contacts)
The customer reported an issue to us: on the personal part of his phones, business contacts are no longer displayed across his entire fleet when users receive SMS from business and personal contacts (only numbers appear, without contact names). By default, Samsung phones use the rich Google Messages application, as well as Textra, which are both impacted. This issue does not occur with Samsung's SMS application. We have tested on our side (Orange), and business contacts and numbers are displayed on the personal part. We have also tested with the customer, but it works randomly. Please take the necessary action.ROVI2 days agoLevel 1.5: Cupcake4KViews0likes36CommentsTrace Logs Manual Deletion Devices
Hello, We are observing a problem: several devices are no longer registered in ZeroTouch, as if someone had manually deleted them. Would it be possible to trace the origin of these deletions and identify who performed this action in ZeroTouch ? Thank you for your help. I develop a Custom DPC application for fully managed devices, and I am planning to configure global proxy settings for Android devices through our EMM Console. I want to restrict disabling these proxy settings, but I am unsure how to implement this restriction. I have reviewed the UserManager and DevicePolicyManager documentation but could not find any specific settings or policies to prevent users from modifying or disabling proxy configurations. Would anyone happen to know how to implement the restrictions that would prevent users from disabling proxy settings on fully managed Android devices? Thank you in advance for your help.YutaSaito2 days agoLevel 1.5: Cupcake86Views0likes4CommentsREALLY NEED HELP
I accidentally locked myself out of my Samsung 24 Ultra cell phone I just bought last September. I have been told, even by Samsung CEO Rep, they can't get me back in my phone so I can use what I paid for. I sent an email to the head CEO of Google and got no response. Great customer service there, Bud. I know the FBI and other law enforcement agencies get in people's phones after they're dead or if it's some criminal's phone. I'm looking for a company I can hire, or an individual I can hire, to get my irreplaceable information off this phone along with all my gallery. I absolutely will not factory reset this phone and lose all my precious data. I would be very grateful for any suggestions. Thank you. A customer service toll free number or phone number for Android would also be nice.PO72yol2 days agoLevel 1.5: Cupcake36Views0likes4Comments
