Work Profile PIN Reset

Hi All,

Recently I had set u p Work Profile on my new phone. However while setting up is requested me to set a PIN to unlock apart from the PIN that I have already set up for my phone which was digit. However the next morning when I was trying to unlock the phone it did not allow me to unlock it via Fingerprint however requested me to input a PIN. Assuming the PIN is my 4 digit I updated 3 incorrect attempts and the phone got locked. Later on I realized the that Work Profile PIN has overwritten my phone 4 PIN and not I don't remember what the PIN that I had set up. Also its seems my Work Profile has been erased from my phone due to multiple incorrect attempts. I am not able to access my phone. Would like to know if the PIN I generated will be visible to my IT team though the Work Profile is erased from the phone? or any other way to retrieve the Work Profile PIN?

Short answer: No.

I even don't remember during my testing that the work profile pin resets the device pin but what could have happened is that the work profile has a password enforcement assigned which forces you to have a specified (minimum) password security for your device which forced you to reset the pin/password for your device.

If you don't remember what you have chosen, there's only one way to get it back to functional: factory reset.
